President’s Message

Dear Members and Friends of Rotary,

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise! As we embark on the Rotary year of 2023-2024, we draw inspiration from the compelling theme “Create Hope in the World.” This call to action, bestowed upon us by Rotary International President Gordon R. McInally, encapsulates our Rotary values and serves as a guiding star for our service, peacebuilding, and mental health initiatives.

We are not just any Rotary club; we are delighted to be known as the friendliest, most welcoming, and warmest clubs in the region, a reputation we strive to maintain and uphold in every interaction.

As part of Rotary, a global network of 1.4 million members, we persistently aim to advance our mission of serving others, promoting integrity, and fostering goodwill, understanding, and peace. Our club is wholeheartedly committed to the Rotary’s Strategic Plan, focusing on the four key priorities: increasing our impact, expanding our reach, enhancing participant engagement, and boosting our adaptability.

Aligned with the Rotary’s global vision, the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise has identified key goals for 2023-2024. These focal points include enhancing support for underserved communities, bolstering member engagement and recruitment, emphasizing our club’s purpose and impact, and building partnerships to amplify our reach and effect. In addition, we will continue to optimize our club processes and systems for improved efficiency. Each of these priorities intertwines to strengthen our commitment to service, member satisfaction, community impact, and operational excellence.

We approach the upcoming year with enthusiasm, excited about the opportunities to actualize the theme of “Creating Hope in the World”. The unique contribution of every member is crucial to realizing these objectives, and I encourage us all to actively participate in our club’s initiatives.
