I am originally from Massachusetts, moved to California in 1972. I was a Branch Manager and VP of Real Estate Lending for a Bank in Santa Barbara. In 1979 I moved to TO and became an entrepreneur. I owned the first PO Rental Business in the Conejo Valley. As an enrolled agent with the IRS, I had an Income Tax Practice until the late 1990’s. I started my Real Estate Career in 1979 where I specialized in investment property and 1031 Exchanges. I operated Moerler Property Management for many years. In 2007 I took over a failing real estate company. For the next 12 years I built that business (along with my husband and business partner) to over 400 agents and became the #1 real estate firm in the Conejo Valley. We sold that franchise in 2019 (right before the Pandemic, lucky for me!) I pride myself in being a “forward thinker”, learning based and always striving to stay relevant. I love new technology. I am fascinated with the brain and why we do what we do. Over the past 40 plus years I have built a very successful referral based real estate practice. I have helped over 2,000 individuals and families buy, sell and invest in real estate. I get up everyday feeling blessed to do something I love so much. RETIREMENT??….. not even sure what that word means! I have received many awards and accolades over my lifetime, but what means most to me is family and friends. And, of course, my second family, Rotary. I am married to my “best friend”, the love of my life, Raymond McCarthy since 1988. I have one daughter, Marlene who is a Pediatric Nurse at Los Robles, Marlene and her husband, Clinton have two sons, Jack and Charlie. I love talking about entrepreneurship with my two grandsons. I love giving back to the community that has been so good to me. Life is GOOD!
