Sue Gore
RetiredBiography
I am a native Californian and retired after working 34 years for Los Angeles County. The last 28 years were as a court reporter for the Los Angeles Superior Court. I worked a lot on death penalty high profile cases.
My husband and I were very active in the community. I served twice as President of Soroptimist International, Conejo Valley; served three years on the Community Conscience Board and twice chaired its Mardis Gras Ball; served as the 2000 Grand Marshal for the Conejo Valley Days Parade. Most of my volunteer efforts focused on fundraising. My husband, John Gore, was President and Lt Governor for the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis. The Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks honored John with a Paul Harris award.
After John died, I dropped out of community activities for awhile. Now that I’m ready to be active again, I joined the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise. Their meetings are uplifting. They’re involved in lots of community projects, and two women I highly respect were already members.
