Deep to the Peak Charity Challenge

Join us in supporting the “Deep to the Peak Charity Challenge,” an extraordinary effort by our Rotary Club member, Dan Weikel. Dan is taking on a dual challenge to raise funds for families and seniors in need. This includes a 22.1-mile open ocean swim from Catalina Island on August 22nd, followed by a 22-mile trek to summit Mount Whitney on September 15th.

Dan’s journey began with a simple question—could he swim across the ocean he was looking at? This personal challenge evolved into a mission to inspire others and help those in need. The Deep to the Peak Challenge shows how small steps can lead to achieving the impossible.

Dan has partnered with Rotary International to ensure that 100% of donations from this challenge benefit local charities, including Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, Senior Concerns, and the Sunrise Rotary Foundation. These organizations are vital in feeding families, supporting seniors, and providing resources to our community.
